Cubs lose to Astros 6-1

The Houston Astros faced off against the Chicago Cubs yesterday at Minute Maid Park with the Astros securing the victory 6 to 1. It was a great baseball game that fans with Astros tickets will remember for quite some time. There’s not much better than a baseball game so get your MLB tickets before its too late.

Astros pitcher Brett Myers (3.10 ERA) got the win, while Andrew Cashner (4.28 ERA) took the loss for the Cubs. Brett Myers went 9 solid innings for the Astros, allowed 4 hits, one home run and one earned run with one walk and 12 strikeouts. The Cubs’s starter Ted Lilly went 5.2 innings, allowed 5 hits, no home runs and no earned runs with 3 walks and 8 strikeouts. Bob Howry (7.08) also pitched for the Cubs. Cubs pitcher Tom Gorzelanny (3.12 ERA) got the win, while Roy Halladay (2.40 ERA) took the loss for the Phillies. Tom Gorzelanny went 6.2 solid innings for the Cubs, allowed 5 hits, no home runs and 2 earned runs with 5 walks and 5 strikeouts. Also pitching for the Cubs was Andrew Cashner (2.61), and James Russell (4.13).
